Literature Wales entry for Ambrose Conway

One of the remarkable things about Wales is the tremendous cultural heritage given the size of the country. The tradition of the Eisteddfod lives on in schools. This is usually a one day cultural festival in which there is a competition in poetry, creative writing, individual and choral speech, drama and music making.

I would wager that there are more published authors in Wales than any other country of its size, and proportionally more than most other countries. You are seldom more than one hundred yards from a poet, writer, artist, photographer, musician or arts and crafts purveyor in Wales, and that includes the rural areas where many draw their inspiration.

One benefit of this cultural heritage is the support and fellowship of other creative types and Literature Wales was brought to my attention early in the development process for the Reso.

This is my entry in their database of writers…
