Strange how things come around.
In 2008 I was working with Huw Davies, a great BBC filmmaker, on an idea to turn The Reso into a community-based film in which the majority of the actors would be from Rhyl.
We were making good, if slow progress with a number of key people showing an interest. The change of government in 2010 dried up possible funding streams and the ideas were shelved. There was also the Mike Peters film of Vinyl which was being filmed in the town at the time.
A conversation in Rhyl this week showed some potential of the plans coming to fruition. It is surprising how many links to international filmmaking our little town has generated. Watch this space…
