For a small country, Wales has more than its share of myths and legends and my Welsh teacher at Rhyl High School, John Ambrose, used to reward us at the end of his lessons with a short tale from the Mabinogion and other Welsh legends. It inspired me to include him in my pen name as there are simply too many David Hughes’ in print!
